Just for tracking purposes: in an ideal world, we'd have a way to deal with edits like this <https://translatewiki.net/w/i.php?title=Thread:Translating_talk:FreeCol/One/many_plural_rule_for_Russian/Belarusian/etc/reply_%2814%29&diff=3561044&oldid=3553992&rcid=&curid=2463969>, better than this <https://translatewiki.net/w/i.php?title=Thread:Translating_talk:FreeCol/One/many_plural_rule_for_Russian/Belarusian/etc&dir=prev&offset=20111228135726&limit=4&lqt_method=thread_history> (perhaps checking for users who edit other users' messages and add ~~~~ to warn them?). In the real world, this bug can be WONTIFIXed if you want. :)
Probably editing other peoples' posts should either be restricted, impossible, or really non-obvious to find whereas replying should be a big fat huge button that's hard not to hit. :)
Restricted or impossible is a bad thing; the rest is like it is now, but apparently it's not enough for people who are used to the old way. :)
A notice saying "Hey, you're editing someone else's message! Did you mean to reply?" would really be all that's needed.
