Please install Narayam on Gujarati Wikipedia as currently only translatieration is possible, but having inscript keyboard enabled will help some new users.

Can you provide a community consensus link? Also please confirm that the Input methods available for Gujarati in Narayam are verified using translatewiki.net. Inscript and Transliteration is available now.

Wasn't aware of requirement to obtain community consensus. Will get it soon and share the link. There are these 2 input methods available for Gujarati, that's true, but how to verify this using translatewiki.net? All the translations are made for Narayam extension.

In translatewiki.net. select the language as Gujarati, you may use the language selector available on top of page or use Preferences page. Now you will see the Narayam menu along with top user links, select a Gujarati input method and test it by trying various input combinations. If you see any mistakes in the input tool, please report as bug iin this bugzilla.

Tried and worked. Though, the language selection menu is not available once logged in, don't know whether that is default. Also, the transliteration input method doesn't work exactly as it does on gu.wiki now. Which means, mapping of charectors required to mirror the current input method. Shall I create a new bug report for that?

Yes, please create a new bug report and mention each changes you need in the transliteration scheme.

Since there is no open bugs, we are planning to deploy this in gujarati wiki on monday. Hope there is no objections.
Comment 7 Dhaval 2012-02-23 21:46:50 UTC
That's really a great news. I have started a discussion thread, and am sure that there will be no objection.

Can't still see it on my IE 9.0.8, Firefox 10.0.2 or Chrome 17.o.9
OS: Windows Vista Service Pack 2
Is there any replication period?
Comment 10 Siebrand Mazeland 2012-02-27 21:54:35 UTC
Gujarati input methods are still tagged beta, and beta IMEs are not active on Wikimedia wikis. We're going to fix. Sorry.
Comment 11 Siebrand Mazeland 2012-02-27 23:30:18 UTC
Removed beta for master in r112528, but needs merging to 1.18wmf1 and 1.19wmf1. Asked on IRC, given that 1.19wmf1 is being deployed to wikis at the moment. Waiting for an answer.
Comment 12 Siebrand Mazeland 2012-02-27 23:37:45 UTC
Merged in r112541. Will either be deployed soon, or otherwise in 8 hours or so.
Comment 13 Niklas Laxström 2012-02-28 08:52:03 UTC
Really fixed now.
