I don't understand whether it's a bug, anyway some examples from translatewiki of very ugly category|sortkey listings added by Sf_templates_definescat: first the category as defined on the template, then the output on the special page. [[Category:<!-- please subcategorize here --> templates|{{PAGENAME}}]] -> templates|Templates [[Category:Templates|{{PAGENAME}}]] -> Templates|Templates [[Category:Templates]] {{DEFAULTSORT:{{PAGENAME}}}} -> Templates (this is a link to category) [[Category:ISO 15924|{{{1}}}]] -> ISO 15924:{{{1}}}|templates [[Category:Identical message templates|Draft view article compare]] -> Identical message templates|Draft view article compare So basically it just outputs the category name as it finds it, with the sortkey only if directly defined in the category link, otherwise "Templates" if there's a magic word or a parameter (with additional brokenness with the latter).
Thanks for reporting this. After an unfortunate delay, I believe this is now finally fixed in SVN, and the fix will also be in SF 2.4.1.
