Description Neill Mitchell 2012-01-06 11:11:13 UTC
Hi.

I've got a site that allows users to upload pictures in a form. However,
I've found that when I restrict file upload permissions to confirmed
users, the upload popup misbehaves. The user clicks the upload file
link, the popup appears, they select their picture, but when they click
the Upload file button the popup goes solid grey and just sits there.
The file is uploaded in the background though.

The popup works fine for sysops and also if anonymous uploads are
enabled (which obviously I don't want to do). So I can only assume the
upload popup window has some other permission requirement associated with it.

Any ideas what the required permission is or is this a bug?

I'm running SF 2.2.1 on MW 1.16.5.

Many thanks

This may have been fixed already - try upgrading to the most recent version.

Okay, I'll try it and report back.

Thanks!

So - do you know if this is still an issue?
Comment 4 Neill Mitchell 2012-02-17 09:40:16 UTC
Hi Yaron.

Unfortunately I can't upgrade the site to test as it uses SRF Exhibit.

However, work on an exhibit replacement is starting next week. So I will be able to test in about 2 weeks time. Is it okay to park this until then?

Thanks

Confirmed fixed.
Comment 7 Yaron Koren 2012-04-18 14:36:31 UTC
Thanks for confirming. I'm resetting this to "invalid", for record-keeping purposes, since I believe the bug was already fixed when it was reported.
