Description Hercule 2012-01-11 17:38:42 UTC
Please change project namespaces (numbers 4 and 5) :

Wiktionary should become Wiktionnaire
Wiktionary Diskussioun should become Wiktionnaire Diskussioun

Thanks

This change needs community consensus. Please link to it.

They already use Wiktionnaire as project namespace : see
http://lb.wiktionary.org/w/index.php?title=Spezial%3AIndexsich&prefix=&namespace=4 (where most pages are redirects)
and
http://lb.wiktionary.org/w/index.php?title=Spezial%3AIndexsich&prefix=Wiktionnaire&namespace=0

I asked his opinion to a sysop, who confirmed me (but not on the same page, and even not in on the same project).

I opened a subject to show the consensus, but I think there will be very few ansmers :

You realise that just makes life difficult for renaming the namespace?
Comment 4 Hercule 2012-01-13 09:53:57 UTC
No, I don't know the impact it has.

What can I do to make life easy for renaming the namespace ? Just tell me.
Comment 5 Sam Reed (reedy) 2012-01-13 17:15:32 UTC
Don't have anything already in the "new" target namespace, have them in the correct old one. As the pages aren't actually in that namespace, they're in the main namespace, and therefore are just prefixed

Then when the rename is done, with changing the default, it will just appear in the new target name, and the old wiktionary namespace will work seamlessly
Comment 6 Hercule 2012-01-15 13:03:45 UTC
There is no more page prefixed by "Wiktionnaire:"
Comment 8 Hercule 2012-01-16 17:21:12 UTC
Thanks !

Can you explain me how to change "sitename" from Wiktionary to Wiktionnaire. Do I need to open another bug ?

Yeah, that's the best way of doing it
