Description Phil Chang 2012-01-11 18:46:01 UTC
The Featured Article paragraph in English Wikipedia has a cramped line spacing, and the rest of the page does not. This seems to be limited to English Wikipedia.
Comment 1 Phil Chang 2012-01-23 19:55:32 UTC
This line spacing problem is no longer present in the app but still appears on the mobile site.
Comment 2 Phil Chang 2012-04-03 19:37:49 UTC
This is now appearing in the apps and the site, on both Android and iOS.
Comment 3 Jon 2012-04-04 11:16:37 UTC
The page today does not have this problem. Yesterday the problem was caused by the featured article paragraph not being a paragraph (an html p element) but an html div element

div's only get increased line spacing if they have the id featured_article

Thus I believe this was a problem which lies with the content editors.
Comment 4 Phil Chang 2012-04-04 15:12:01 UTC
Hmm, is Featured Article formatted automatically by Wikitext? It seems strange that a paragraph tag would be absent when that seems to be an automatic function of wikitext.
Comment 5 Jon 2012-04-04 16:44:30 UTC
Where does the featured article get pulled from (apologies for my lack of knowledge)? Would be good to check the history to see what happened here to make it a div.
Comment 6 Tomasz Finc 2012-04-04 18:56:13 UTC
It gets pulled from here : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Today%27s_featured_article

And here if you want to be hyper specific - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Today%27s_featured_article/April_4,_2012
Comment 8 Jon 2012-04-05 09:26:44 UTC
Thanks the hyper specific one was what I wanted! :P
Looking at the days the problem was reported they both [1,2] seem to be rendering as paragraphs... so I'm a bit stumped

Yet I remember seeing it on the 3rd late in the evening and seeing that it was rendering in a DIV instead. Can we keep an eye on this and report when it happens again? It's possibly a wikitext / template rendering issue.
