Mobile Firefox 9 not redirected to mobile site

Tested on Android 2.3.5 and 3.2.1 (Xoom) with FF 9 isn't redirected to
the mobile site

Works for me on Galaxy Tab 10.1 (Android 3.2), Firefox 9 -- going to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foo redirects me to the mobile view.

Actually we don't want it to forward in the tablet case, though. :)
Comment 2 Sam Reed (reedy) 2012-01-16 17:33:23 UTC
Well, tablet is one thing ;)

Seems ok going to enwiki, not to local install... I thought MF handled this?

Ah -- MobileFrontend currently defaults to expecting detection to have been done by front-end proxies, it needs a tweak to do it itself. I think there's a sample tweak on-list from Patrick the other day.

User-agent string from FF 9 on my Galaxy Tab:

Mozilla/5.0 (Android; Linux armv7l; rv:9.0) Gecko/20111216 Firefox/9.0 Fennec/9.0

Looks the same on my Nexus 1 (Android 2.3.6).
