after checking out collection from the svn repository, as soon as i include the extension in mediawiki localsettings.php
a fatal error occurs: Fatal error: Using $this when not in object context in /path/to/media/wiki/includes/linker.php line 17

What version of MediaWiki do you have installed?

mediawiki 1.17.2

You have a version of Collection written for 1.18+ installed on 1.17. You need to either upgrade to 1.18.1 or use the REL1_17 version of Collection instead of the trunk version.

can't upgrade to 1.18 as other extensions would break.
may i have the direct link for REL1_17 ?
