Useless/misleading column "description" in [[Special:ListFiles]]: This column actually contains the "upload summary" or in case of upload-wizard-uploads -- nothing. Only in case of re-uploads it may contain useful stuff. Nevertheless it would be better to have the wikitext of the file in there or its decription only. The latter might be not feasable because of different templates used on different projects.

There's a bug for that somewhere Having the wikitext of the image description page might be a possibility, extracting the "description" from the template and putting it there is not likely to happen until we have some sort of machine understandable way of marking up data on the description page. (Which people apparently have pipe-dreamish plans of doing at some point, but is probably a long way off)
There's some oddity here that should be considered. Scroll down this list: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:ListFiles/Maury_Markowitz Notice that the ones near the bottom DO contain the description? Not perfect, but useful. Is this a regression problem?
