Description Brion Vibber 2012-01-28 01:03:19 UTC
There was a glow effect on the toolbar buttons, achieved with an :active pseudoclass in the CSS on the buttons... for some reason this doesn't appear to work in the iOS app however.

I also tried using an explicit class and adding on touchstart/touchend events but something goes wrong and the events all seem to get delivered at the end (wtf?)

Especially for things that take a moment to respond, a visual indicator like this is useful, and fits in better with standard platform behavior.

I see a highlight between touchstart and touchend.
