Suggestion to add a new magic word to display the avatar of a given user. Such as: <nowiki>{{Special:Avatar/Username}} or {{#Avatar:Username}}</nowiki> This would enable much greater interaction with social profiles throughout the wiki - in discussions, user listings, requests for adminship and other community business. Should be able to specify a dimension (such as <nowiki>{{Special:Avatar/Username|200px}}</nowiki> Ideally would be able to do #ifexist on this to be able to determine whether an avatar exists.
I'd recommend {{#avatar:Username}}, {{#avatar:Username|64px}} etc. Not sure how #ifexist would fit in here... presumably you should get a generic icon if the user doesn't have one. Possibly another parser function like {{#hasavatar:Username|then|else}} ?
