In page translation, "Other languages:" list is too big to read when there are many translated language (e.g. http://wikimania2012.wikimedia.org/wiki/Washington,_D.C. ).

Is it possible to use <select> element or other selectable element?

That is many? You haven't seen http://translatewiki.net/wiki/User:FuzzyBot

I'm sorry, but that's just what happens with translations when there are many.
