Description Mark A. Hershberger 2012-02-08 15:38:46 UTC
The LQT signature length is shorter than the MW signature length. This causes problems with lengthier signatures such as my own.
Comment 1 Andre Klapper 2013-03-19 16:27:08 UTC
https://test2.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Preferences > Signature > New signature:
allows entering 255 characters, so I added 255 characters.
Then I went to https://test2.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Xpd and replied to a thread. The full 255 characters were shown as the signature, plus the " (Talk)" string appended.

Hence cannot reproduce.

Mark: Do you still see this issue?

<bawolff> The sig length in mediawiki is configurable. Presumably mark meant the default length

Hmm, assuming that test2 uses default settings for this, I wonder if the report refers to a configuration which might have the LQT value be hardcoded and ignore the MW value completely then?
Comment 3 Mark A. Hershberger 2013-03-19 18:21:51 UTC
I've updated the test2 wiki with my tests. Still seeing problems.
