Description Neill Mitchell 2012-02-23 17:27:18 UTC
Hi.

I've installed version 0.2 alpha revision r112209.

I created a group called "New emails". I set it to watch a property.

In my user preferences Semantic watchlist tab, the groups to watch list shows:
<swl-prefs--label> next to the tick box.

Also, when ticked, my Semantic watchlist remains empty - it says "You have no items on your semantic watchlist."

I think it's bust :(

Sorry, forgot to say. This is with MW 1.17.2 and SMW 1.16.1

Cheers.

I will have a look at the failing message.

> Also, when ticked, my Semantic watchlist remains empty

This is to be expected. SWL only keep tracks of changes that are relevant to some watchlist group. So if you go follow a new group, it will not show you any changes that happened in the past, but will show new changes.

My guess is that you did not fill in any actual conditions. You need to do this.

The UI should complain if you don't and it should not show the stuff in your preferences at all. Part of all the polishing that still needs to be done, but not really a bug.

I don't have time to fix this now, so suggest you just fill in the conditions, after which it should work fine.

I filled in a property condition. Is the category/namespace/concept field mandatory then? I just want to watch a property.

Cheers
Neill.

Okay, I added the main namespace and saved. The label then displays right :)

However, it still says "You have no items on your semantic watchlist." when I have ticked the group in the "Groups to watch".

As far as I recall it's mandatory yes. My client told me to not bother with having an option to not filter on any of these since they did not need that.

I agree this would be useful though.

Shall I open a new ticket for the wishlist actually not working, or keep use one?

Cheers
Neill.

Did you read this:

I'm running the latest version on some wiki and there it seems to work fine.
