Description Erik Moeller 2012-02-23 23:53:40 UTC
On Android 2.3.3 in 1.1beta2 on a Droid Pro I sometimes have a one pixel-ish wide transparent margin at the top and to the left of the search box (the content of the page is visible through that margin while scrolling). It seems to be an issue that sometimes gets triggered when navigating into and out of menus like "Nearby" and "Settings".

I suspect this is related to scrolling with the position:fixed header, possibly in combination with non-integral positioning (I believe the Droid Pro, like the Nexus One, has a 240dpi screeen with 1.5x ratio between device and CSS pixels).

Not currently able to repro it on my Kindle Fire (1.0x ratio) or Galaxy Nexus (2.0x ratio, but using a different scroll method). Will test more on the Nexus One and see if it comes up repeatably...

Got this under similar conditions as Erik (Android 2.3.3, Samsung Galaxy Ace), here's one sure-fire way to reproduce on my device (there are probably others):
* Load app
* Click nearby
* Depress zoom out button (gap appears)
* Release (gap disappears)
* Hit back to go to main article (gap reappears)

I can confirm this on a Nexus S using those exact step
Comment 4 Brion Vibber 2013-01-18 17:10:46 UTC
We won't do much further work on the PhoneGap apps, so if this isn't resolved it'll remain unfixed for now. Will replace with native apps in future.
