The image thumbnails for http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Wichita,_Portraits-Kiowa_women_-_NARA_-_523844repairedCropped.tif are generated with errors and cannot be displayed. I've tried purging the image and no-cache refreshing, appears to be a server side issue.
I uploaded the image -- please let me know if there is something I can do to help from the image editor. It's there if you click "Full resolution" but most people won't figure that out. Thanks
Had the same problem with File:Hon._Henry_L._Dawes%2C_Mass_-_NARA_-_530522croppedhealed.tif. Possibly related to 34667 or 9497.
For reference, when I viewed the url, no error message was given, only a zero-byte response was given (status code 200, content-length header was 0, but otherwise looked like a normal response) Changing the url around (to avoid caching) I got the error "Error retrieving thumbnail from scaling server: empty response" (status code 500). This is also an issue with some related files, for example: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/1/1e/Wichita%2C_Portraits-Kiowa_women_-_NARA_-_523844.tif/lossy-page1-183px-Wichita%2C_Portraits-Kiowa_women_-_NARA_-_523844.tif.jpg (Note, this isn't that noticable, since the cached responses are fine) I also just randomly went through search, and first image i tried was also affected ( https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/6/6d/Hungry_Ghosts_Scroll_Kyoto_5.tif/lossy-page1-320px-Hungry_Ghosts_Scroll_Kyoto_5.tif.jpg ) I'm raising priority, as this seems to be a significant issue affecting many image files, which used to work. Fixed in r112613, r112616. Use ?action=purge on the File: page to clear existing broken files.
