Three screenshots from problematic menu display

In the emulator, when the menu screen is brought up, the buttons display the wrong text and icons. Each button-location still maps to the proper action, so only the labels are incorrect.

The attached .zip file contains three screenshots:

1. mixed_up_items
- Shows how the items are displayed when the bug manifests
- The arrangement is *not* consistent between emulator launches, but appears to change randomly.
- Screenshot of proper arrangement not available, but proper arrangement can be determined if the actions each button initiates actually correspond to their label.

2. result_of_history
- Shows what happens when "History" is clicked.
- The list of pages is not the browsing history, but rather a list of saved pages. This is what the "Saved Pages" button is meant to do.

3. result_of_more
- Shows how the app responds when the "More" item is tapped.
- Note that the label "More" is always correct.
- The number of items shown is far in excess of what should be shown.
- Again, a screenshot of proper behavior is not known, but indicators of a fix are: (1) far few items in the list, (2) no repeated elements between first level of the menu (that initially slides up) and the second level (that appears when "More" is tapped)

I believe this has been fixed upstream - Shea can you confirm and mark as fixed?
Comment 2 sheac 2012-03-14 16:41:12 UTC
I can't confirm this as fixed, because I'm still having problems with this both on the emulator and on a device. The mis-mapping doesn't occur every single time I rebuild and reinstall the APK on a device/emulator, but it does happen fairly regularly.

Is anyone else in the same boat, or is it a peculiarity of my system?
Comment 3 Patrick Hayes 2012-03-14 16:43:22 UTC
Have you pulled the latest source and rebuilt? Yuvi said it has been fixed. I will see if I can reproduce.
Comment 4 sheac 2012-03-14 17:06:39 UTC
When you say Yuvi says it has been fixed, are we talking that fix from a few weeks back, or a more recent fix in the last pull from upstream? If you mean a newer fix, then let's close the bug now. We can always re-open it later.
Comment 5 Patrick Hayes 2012-03-14 17:50:05 UTC
The update was on Friday. Try and see if you can reproduce it, and then if you can't, we can close it.
Comment 6 sheac 2012-03-14 18:08:04 UTC
No longer able to reproduce the bug after most recent upstream fix.
