The local community is conducting 2 day outreach event at Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi on March 3rd and 5th 2012. This will include an intro Wikipedia, an editing workshop and hands-on basic editing. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Workshop/Delhi_Workshop_1) We expect 40-50 people to attend. We would like to encourage potential newbie participants to create their own usernames during the session themseleves, and then learn editing using their own accounts. Is there a way of removing the 7 username creation limit in a 24 hour period for the following 5 IP addresses: 180.149.52.41, 180.149.52.42, 180.149.52.43, 180.149.52.44, 180.149.52.45 for the duration of the workshop on: March 3rd 2012 - between 0830-1430 UTC March 5th 2012 - between 0830-1430 UTC (Workshop is for 3 hours but I'm requesting 6 hours just in case we are over time or someone stays back to edit.) Also, we would prefer not to use the option of giving someone rights to create others' accounts. We would like the newbies to create their own accounts.
Was this done? If not, it is probably useless now.
