Created attachment 10186 [details] Mail in question The following log event on Meta-Wiki: 08:41, 6 March 2012 Aphaia (talk | contribs) deleted page Countervandalism Network/CVNbot/c (M1: Housekeeping: content was: "unused redundant template") Sent me a HUGE e-mail (attached) with a bunch of html crap in it
Since I don't know what these looked like before 1.19, would it be possible to post another from pre-1.19? If nothing else, would the HTML be stripped?
pre-1.19 edit summaries where treated the same way edit summaries are always treated, as plain text. not as wikitext. And this is the same on history pages, log pages, contributions, recentchanges, watchlist, etc. Somehow it slipped into the enotif system that it is wikitext. So after 1.19 > *snip* > Editor's summary: M1: Housekeeping: content was: "<div *snip* > *snip* > *snip* > *snip* > *snip* > *snip* > *snip* > div>" > Contact the editor: > mail: > There will be no other notifications in case of further changes unless > you visit this page. pre-1.19: > *snip* > Editor's summary: M1: Housekeeping: content was: "unused redundant template" > Contact the editor: > mail: > There will be no other notifications in case of further changes unless > you visit this page.
