<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:ListGroupRights> If a user right is deleted, it should be removed from those users holding it. This is not happening right now. Please see the <https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special%3AUserRights&user=Mardetanha> field. The user in question added himself to the 'translate-proof' userright while it existed at meta. Days later it dissapeared from Special:Userrights, thus making it unassingnable; but users added to that group continue showing it: <https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special%3AListUsers&username=Mardetanha&group=&limit=1> See also <https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special%3AUserRights&user=TheDJ> & <https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special%3AListUsers&username=TheDJ&group=&limit=1> - It appears he has 'editinterface' rights while those never were avalaible via meta Special:Userrights interface (probably somebody added him that flag via direct database). I hereby request those rights from both users to be removed.

The user*groups* are maintenced in a Config page by sysadmins. The user rights stored in the database, that means the sysadmin has to run a script/sql to remove the old user right from each user. A other solution is to filter the list of the users user groups againts the list of current active user groups at a central point, to avoid adding it at many places.

It really makes no difference, they can't do anything with it. Removed editinterface from TheDJ Removed translate-proofr from Mardetanha
