Description Donald Lancon 2012-03-10 07:11:16 UTC
The API documentation for prop=excerpts is not consistent.

The auto-generated documentation of the module
<http://meta.wikimedia.org/w/api.php?action=help&querymodules=excerpts>
lists the parameters as "exlength", "exlimit", "explaintext", and "excontinue", but then gives an example (that doesn't work)
<api.php?action=query&prop=excerpt&length=175&titles=Therion>
that calls the module "excerpt" (singular) and doesn't use the "ex" prefix on any if its parameters.

OTOH, the on-wiki documentation linked to from the auto version <https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:MobileFrontend#New_API> lists the parameters as "length", "limit", "plaintext", and "continue", but then shows an example (that does work) using the parameter "exlength".

This all needs to be made consistent and correct...
