Dark Background + Light Foreground, for reading in the dark.
This is still consistently coming up as a feature request in reviews. We should do it sooner rather then later

How much it costs to fix this issue?
Several things needed for this * Someone needs to design an alternative a stylesheet that can be added to the app that renders the app in a night mode * A setting needs to be added to the settings page which can be toggled on or off * The init function needs to be modified to load the correct stylesheet by doing something like: https://github.com/wikimedia/WLMMobile/blob/master/assets/www/js/app.js#L946
Not to mention that inline styles of any sort that specify a color need to be fixed.
Yuvi - solved by a simple inline styles scrub which I think is long overdue ;-) Classes are the future!
Added theming support in https://github.com/wikimedia/WikipediaMobile/pull/306! Added a Dark Theme (night mode) based off Solarized: http://ethanschoonover.com/solarized

Is the most frequently asked for feature for the Android Beta.
I have a few apps that turns off OLED/AMOLED to render black. That saves a bit on battery and it is easier to the eyes when reading in plain dark. Random link explaining it: http://androidcommunity.com/new-dark-google-apps-mod-saves-battery-on-oled-phones-20120201/
Indeed, and I do agree it is much less straining on the eyes in the dark (I use dark mode myself on Aldiko for reading books)
