at http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:UploadWizard attempt to upload a media file. I am using a large CC .ogv file, but others have reported this error with other, smaller file types. After the upload is complete, UW reports "Unknown error:unknown". Attempting to do the same thing on my local MW install I incur the same error. My relevant LocalSettings are: $wgEnableUploads = true; $wgUseImageMagick = true; $wgImageMagickConvertCommand = "/usr/bin/convert"; $wgUploadNavigationUrl = '/wiki/Special:UploadWizard'; $wgFileExtensions[] = 'ogv'; # InstantCommons allows wiki to use images from http://commons.wikimedia.org $wgUseInstantCommons = false; (Note: this is my first local MW installation, I may have gotten something wrong. but the error on commons is still an issue)

although it took about 30 minutes, today the file upload succeeded where yesterday it failed consistently. however, I get an unexpected message: Commonscreative-CreativeCommonsKiwi284.ogv This file was previously uploaded to this wiki. will continue to investigate
