Why is the server (or are the servers) so slow?

Which servers? Please be specific. This is a complex architecture, and that question can mean tens of things.

I'm sorry, but I thought you would have assumed the servers from the "Product" field above. The servers used by the beta cluster are annoyingly slow.

replaced with large instances with 4 cpu each
