I set flood flag on myself and my deleting actions are still shown in Special:Recentchanges. I'm not sure if MW core provides a way to hide them...
This works fine for me with a quick test on Meta - which wiki are you experiencing this problem, and is it related to the Translate Extension (which does show up in RC even if you set the flood flag, that's a separate bug). - THO
Huh, seems like on a second refresh it did show up. (User rights log); 10:31 . . Thehelpfulone (talk | contribs | block) changed group membership for User:Thehelpfulone from flooder, administrator and translation administrator to administrator and translation administrator (test complete) (Deletion log); 10:25 . . Thehelpfulone (talk | contribs | block) deleted page User:Thehelpfulone/test2 (done with this) (User rights log); 10:25 . . Thehelpfulone (talk | contribs | block) changed group membership for User:Thehelpfulone from administrator and translation administrator to administrator, translation administrator and flooder (testing bug) Confirmed bug.
It sounds like this would be a way for a spammer to create a bunch of pages that are quickly deleted using Nuke -- but they would still show up in the log as they are deleted. Raising priority and requesting comment.
So it turns out that if I make myself a bot (this is now on test.wikipedia), it *is* hidden from the RC feed, I only get: (User rights log); 19:29 . . Thehelpfulone (talk | contribs | block) changed group membership for User:Thehelpfulone from bureaucrat, administrator and translation administrator to bureaucrat, administrator, translation administrator and bot (testing purposes) Nothing else in the RC when I delete the page (or remove the bot right from myself).
So the request is to not show deleting actions in Special:Recentchanges?
