This bug is a bit weird and probably not very important, but i decided to document it anyway. If you try to put the character '©', the copyright sign (U+00A9), into the search field in the Hebrew Wikipedia, two search suggestions appear. Both look identical - just "©", and both lead to the page https://he.wikipedia.org/wiki/©, which is a redirect to an article about copyright in Hebrew. I would expect that there would be only one search suggestion. This doesn't happen in the English Wikipedia.
this is not a bug in mediawiki - it's a bug in a gadget used on hewiki. (called "dwim" - i should know, i wrote it...). recommend: close this is pebcak. peace.
Tell us which gadget it is, we're curious :)
Fixed by kipod in https://he.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=MediaWiki:Gadget-Dwim.js&diff=12237706&oldid=12237702 . It was a bug in a "DWIM" gadget for providing search suggestion even if people type in the wrong alphabet. It's one of those gadgets that should become a MediaWiki feature one day :)
