Please configure Git tree view to display directories first, if possible in settings.

If there's any configuration for this, I'd be more than happy to. 

Googling around though, there seems to be a serious lack of documentation for gitweb.conf (other than http://www.manpagez.com/man/5/gitweb.conf/)

I've looked into this a bit more, and I don't think it's currently possible. https://git.wiki.kernel.org/index.php/GitwebWishlist even lists some tree view filtering wishes for gitweb.

Marking LATER pending more information or some upstream change.

Resolving WONTFIX, since we're getting rid of Gitweb anyway after 2.5
