Some change in common.css / other css broke this, was working fine till sometime back. Similar bug 34686 was fixed sometime back.

f0f2d138 introduced it.

I've moved this to the firefox.css spreadsheet until I understand the problem it was trying to address better. I'm annoyed with myself for the vague commit message.
