Another wasted 15 min:

git review -d 5410
Downloading refs/changes/10/5410/1 from gerrit into review/reedy/bug/36107
fatal: Couldn't find remote ref refs/changes/10/5410/1

Reason: wrong repository (combined with having unmigrated svn extension inside the git repo and git going up in the tree until it finds .git).

We could possibly improve the error output here. If someone's looking to add it, you're looking for line ~550 in git-review.
