With the deployment of service::apache on all beta Apaches, a side effect is that rsyslog was installed and logs are sent to remote syslog.pmtpa.wmnet which is unreachable (it is the production one). We need a way to pass a specific remote syslog server name whenever we are on labs, project deployment-prep.

sort of fixed, keeping open until we do it proper way
-*.info;mail.none;authpriv.none;cron.none @syslog.pmtpa.wmnet +*.info;mail.none;authpriv.none;cron.none @deployment-dbdump.pmtpa.wmflabs
Need a few changes to describe /home/wikipedia which I have send to Gerrit: "nfs::home::wikipedia describe /home/wikipedia" https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/6545 "syslog-server requires /home/wikipedia/syslog" https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/6546 As a workaround, I tried to manually create the /home/wikipedia/ but that does not seem possible right now :(
I have manually created /home/wikipedia/syslog on deployment-dbdump. Seems to receive some logs :-D
Every boxes inherits some base class which in turn include base::remote-syslog , that install rsyslog to send logs to a remote box (deployment-dbdump). So this particular issue (configure apaches) is actually solved. Note there is just no syslog server available yet on deployment-dbdump, which is bug 36748.
