See also bug 34886. The error is back, but this time it is not returning the error on a large query but on a fairly small one. So contrary to bug 34886, the problem can't be in the query itself. It may be related to the overal load by other requests. I'm getting the error at random with the smallest queries

Lowering priority on this for now. The highest priority for Antoine right now is getting our Beta Labs infrastructure in testable state, since we have two people completely blocked in pretty much all of their work on that.
We might need to raise some other innodb variables. Note the error is: "Invalid query: The total number of locks exceeds the lock table size"
