As tested on the Beta cluster (verified on en and simple), when I attempted a search, I get the exact content of the [[MediaWiki:searchdisabled]] source, not how it should be rendered. I tried some modifications, including using ":" to indent, but that failed as well.

I don't really understand the report. Can you please provide exact steps to reproduce, expected and observed results?

Well the message is used as text(), and isn't parsed. I don't think we should treat it as raw HTML though.
