The beta project will need several git repositories hosted on Gerrit. Purposes will be: 1) track apache configuration files (/usr/local/apache/conf) 2) The common directory /usr/local/apache/common-local . 3) a private repository to hold the beta cluster passwords
Needs a better name for the 'deployement preparation (beta)' project which is bug 36414
36414 is unrelated and does not block this issue.
Will probably want to track the Apache docroot in its own repository too.
We need to harmonize as much between production and beta as possible...just re-doing it all over again in a new repo is a bad idea.
New repo requests do not go in Bugzilla -- please use [[mw:Git/New repositories]].
Reopening, I need that bug to track the progress.
I am in SF next week, will check with ops team how we can have a shared labs/prod repository which will hold the various apaches configuration files and the htdocs.
Repositories have been created: operations/apache-configuration operations/mediawiki-configuration
