Description Andre Klapper 2012-05-02 20:58:24 UTC
How can I follow all bug reports in a specific product or component in bugzilla.wikimedia.org that I am interested in?

As far as I can see default assignees are either specific real user accounts (which of course also comment on reports that they are not necessarily assigned to by default), or "nobody <wikibugs-l at lists dot wikimedia dot org>" (which is used across products and components).

(I assume that wikibugs-l@ is global only and also used in the Default CC field of all those components that do not have this as the default assignee.)

Other Bugzillas, such as Mozilla or GNOME, "abuse" the QA Contact field for this (which does not seem to be enabled in this installation) by creating virtual accounts like "$product-$component-maint@wikipedia.bugs" and then asking people interested in following reports to add the corresponding virtual account (which would be displayed on https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/describecomponents.cgi?product=$product as a third column) to their "User Watching" list at the bottom of https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email .

Fixing bug 37105 would also fix this. Marking as dup.
