Description Jasper Deng 2012-05-04 01:09:46 UTC
With several wikis (1.20alpha, 1.18.0), logins fail if I set $wgCentralAuthCookies=true. I thought setting up the cache settings would resolve the issue previously, but ultimately it did not.

This is browser independent. I have a single domain with wikis in subdirectories, and I have all the settings set as the extension developer recommended.

I'm confused. You say "browser independent" but have the bug summary set to "IE 7.5".

Have you tested this on other browsers?
Comment 2 Sumana Harihareswara 2012-05-04 15:26:07 UTC
Victor, could you take a look at this?

Jasper, did you mean IIS 7.5, or did "IS" stand for something else?
Comment 3 Jasper Deng 2012-05-04 17:06:16 UTC
@Mark: Yes, that was a mistake.
@Sumana It should be IIS 7.5.

I am not sure, I do not have an IIS install anywhere around.
Comment 6 Jasper Deng 2012-10-14 19:28:00 UTC
It turns out, in the end, that this was actually CentralAuth choking on some wikis I had with $wgGroupPermissions['*']['edit']=false and $wgGroupPermissions['*']['read']=false, with these only assigned to certain user groups.
Comment 7 Andre Klapper 2013-02-08 10:14:49 UTC
Jasper: That makes this report RESOLVED INVALID, I assume?
Comment 8 Jasper Deng 2013-02-08 10:59:24 UTC
I would think so.... the real bug is that CA fails on private wikis.
