Toggling sections on large articles (eg [[en:San Francisco]]) is very slow on Android 2.3.6 as well as Android 4.0.2 (native browser).

Nope, although they might be related. This is in regards to the speed at which the sections actually toggle on Android 2.3.6 and ICS devices, while Bug 36673 is about other strange toggling related behavior seen on ICS devices only.

I did more thorough export of the SF article from enwiki and imported it to our labs instance so we could get closer approximations of the problems with large articles. This patch definitely looks like an improvement from my tests there!
