Description Platonides 2012-05-10 23:00:38 UTC
API filerepo (such as the one provided by $wgUseInstantCommons) doesn't follow redirected files at the shared repo.
This is a problem for reusers, whose file can "disappear" even if commons admins were careful enough to leave a redirect behind.

Platonides: Is this still an issue? If so, where and how could I test this?

[not addressed to me, but]: Still an issue. http://translatewiki.net/w/i.php?title=File:File_redirect_example.jpg should look a little more like http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:File_redirect_example.jpg
Comment 3 Platonides 2012-11-14 18:58:33 UTC
As Bawolff said (thanks!), it is :)

The problem here is ApiQueryImageinfo which does not seem to follow redirects (on the server side)
Comment 5 Bryan Tong Minh 2012-12-22 15:37:37 UTC
I27485bba presumably fixes this.
