Add key combination to make letter ಹ combined with other Consonants. Proposed key combination: ~h Example usage: 1. ಅದ್ಹೇಗೆ ದ + ಹ = ದ್ಹ d~ha = ದ್ಹ Discussion on kannada wiki: http://kn.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E0%B2%B5%E0%B2%BF%E0%B2%95%E0%B2%BF%E0%B2%AA%E0%B3%80%E0%B2%A1%E0%B2%BF%E0%B2%AF:%E0%B2%85%E0%B2%B0%E0%B2%B3%E0%B2%BF_%E0%B2%95%E0%B2%9F%E0%B3%8D%E0%B2%9F%E0%B3%86_-_%E0%B2%A4%E0%B2%BE%E0%B2%82%E0%B2%A4%E0%B3%8D%E0%B2%B0%E0%B2%BF%E0%B2%95_%E0%B2%A6%E0%B3%8B%E0%B2%B7%E0%B2%97%E0%B2%B3_%E0%B2%9A%E0%B2%B0%E0%B3%8D%E0%B2%9A%E0%B3%86#Narayam.E0.B2.A8.E0.B2.B2.E0.B3.8D.E0.B2.B2.E0.B2.BF_.22.E0.B2.B9.22_.E0.B2.92.E0.B2.A4.E0.B3.8D.E0.B2.A4.E0.B3.81
I tried adding ['~h', '', 'ಹ'], as a rule and did got ~h transliterated as ಹ. Are you sure d~ha gives ದ್ಹ ? Per rule added d~h gives ದ್ಹ and d~ha gives ದ್ಹಾ Please tell which of these is correct. If you want d~ha = ದ್ಹ then probably one more rule needs to be modified.
(In reply to comment #1) > Please tell which of these is correct. If you want d~ha = ದ್ಹ then probably one > more rule needs to be modified. Some more examples: d~h = ದ್ಹ್ d~ha = ದ್ಹ d~he = ದ್ಹೆ d~ho = ದ್ಹೊ
Also, two of key combinations which were there before Narayam implementation are missing; W = ಔ Y = ಐ Please refer "ಸ್ವರಾಕ್ಷರಗಳು (Vowels)" section of help file for transliteration http://kn.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:ಲಿಪ್ಯಂತರ
(In reply to comment #1) > I tried adding ['~h', '', 'ಹ'], as a rule and did got ~h transliterated as ಹ. Please try ಹ್ in place of ಹ( ['~h', '','ಹ್'], )

I added it and it seems to work. The patch is being reviewed here: https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/8012/
Submitted https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/9740/ for the additional request
Can you please give some a sample string for unit test for W and Y along with the transliterated input? ex:- Yeso for ಐಎಸೊ. Are there cases where these characters come in middle of a word and change the glyphs? Also are these combination standard in kannada transliteration, as 'ai' gives ಐ and 'au' gives 'ಔ' already.
(In reply to comment #8) > Can you please give some a sample string for unit test for W and Y along with > the transliterated input? nAkYdu = ನಾಕೈದು ಗೌತಮ್ = gWtam
(In reply to comment #8) Also, W = ಔ Y = ಐ WShadhi = ಔಷಧಿ Ydu = ಐದು kY = ಕೈ kW = ಕೌ

It produces the same results and it is implemented already. Are these W and Y letters based on some other transliteration standard or just the old typing script in the Kannada Wikipedia?
Added nAkaidu , auShadhi and gautam also to the test cases. See . https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/9740 Alternate key combinations are fine. But since they are not obvious( in phonetical way) to the users, it must be documented well. https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Extension:Narayam/Kannada/Transliteration need some help - First of all it should be in English, and the kannada version should be translated from English version. And it should be updated to reflect this change.
Merged. Thanks for the contribution!

This was there before Narayam implementation. > Are these W and Y letters based on some other transliteration standard No > or just the old typing script in the Kannada Wikipedia? Yes. Old script was fine tuned to balance between phonetical & minimum keys. (In reply to comment #12) > Added nAkaidu , auShadhi and gautam also to the test cases. See . > https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/9740 Please add these too, W = ಔ Y = ಐ Ydu = ಐದು kY = ಕೈ kW = ಕೌ WShadhi = ಔಷಧಿ nAkYdu = ನಾಕೈದು ಗೌತಮ್ = gWtam > Alternate key combinations are fine. (In reply to comment #13) > Merged. Thanks for the contribution! Thanks! ~h is working as expected. Please update W and Y too.

Please update W and Y too. ~h is working because it was deployed weeks back in 1.20wmf4. The fix for W and Y just got merged and will be deployed in the next deployment window. Mostly next Tuesday
