Currently it's only diff or page itself, but history may contain enough enough for the changes to be considered reviewed and the bold/"updated since my last visit" to be removed. This was requested in the linked message, I don't know if it's actually a good idea but looks worth tracking.
Probably not a good idea. For example, I just opened a history page with the default 50 revisions, and saw that ''all'' were marked as changed. Were this change to be made, my clicking of the "100" link to find the earliest unviewed revision would have been frustrated as the list of changed revisions would have been wiped out. Adding a button for "Mark all revisions of this page visited" on the history page might be a good idea, though.
It could be made an option with default to off. Personally, I find lack of this facility makes the watchlist more time consuming than necessary to process. On an awful lot of items I can see from the history that no action is needed from me, but I still have to open the page to clear the highlighting.

I also often visit a history page and decide not to check the content, postponing to a next visit; or I open a diff which is not the last, to leave more recent revisions to a followup visit. > Adding a button for "Mark all revisions of this page visited" on the history > page might be a good idea, though. Maybe. Better file a separate bug report if there isn't one.
