Description Antoine "hashar" Musso (WMF) 2012-05-21 20:41:21 UTC
Production split real files from thumbs in two differents partitions. The relevant puppet class is nfs::upload in manifests/nfs.pp

For production:

"/mnt/thumbs": ms5.pmtpa.wmnet:/export/thumbs
"/mnt/upload6": ms7.pmtpa.wmnet:/export/upload

For test:

"/mnt/thumbs": "deployment-nfs-memc:/mnt/export/thumbs
"/mnt/upload6": deployment-nfs-memc:/mnt/export/upload

The later /mnt/export/upload is actually a symbolic link to /mnt/export/upload6

We have to review the FileRepo configuration.

This might be the cause of bug 37034 & bug 37036.
Comment 2 Antoine "hashar" Musso (WMF) 2012-07-27 21:45:06 UTC
/mnt/thumb is now a symbolic link to /data/project/thumb though it is still not used (needs a filebackend reconfiguration)
Comment 3 Antoine "hashar" Musso (WMF) 2012-11-14 14:45:47 UTC
No more used by ops. Will be removed with https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/33202/
