Description johnnymrninja 2012-05-24 23:32:50 UTC
Would it be possible for the MW software, when looking at article history, to show the title of the article as it was at the time of the revision? When sorting out groups of articles that have interrelated move/merge histories this would be very helpful. It can be confusing to look at the history and see text that appears unrelated to the topic, only to sort through revisions and logs to discover that it had a different article title at the time. Without the context of the name at the time, it is difficult to understand the intentions of the editor.

Bug 31306 would fix this issue going forward, but would not address existing pages.

Prioritizing and categorizing. Which version of the software are you using, or referring to?

All versions that I know of, see the history of any WP article that has been moved. For example, this article was moved from "Sorcerer (computer game)" to "Sorcerer (video game)", but the old diffs do not mention that. http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Sorcerer_%28video_game%29&oldid=212542060
