Importing .po files with >15000 messages times out. Translate extension should support for based batch import of .po files. There are special functions in php like fseek and ftell to achieve this. 

Also if there are more than 1000 changes in translations, ImportTranslations should provide pagination feature (just a simple "continue" button) or ajax-based loader.

I still haven't finished the improvements to Special:ManageGroups which needs to be done first.
