I created an account for Dan-nl ( https://nl.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Speciaal%3ALogboeken&type=newusers&user=Multichill&page=&year=&month=-1&tagfilter=&hide_patrol_log=1 ). The email didn't contain a link so Dan tried to login on the English Wikipedia with his temp password, but that didn't work. He had to go to the nlwp to get it working.

Because the SUL account was not created, how did you register the account? He has two different passwords in this moment, tell him to reset the password on both wiki's using his e-mail, then he needs to login to both and merge them

Now I see you created the account using standard interface from "Multichill", target user needs to login at least once to wiki so that global account is created

Never heard of this. [[m:Special:CentralAuth/Dan-nl]] shows the global account has been created immediately.
Clarified summary and moved to CentralAuth component.
