Upon creating a new account I don't have permissions to view the project list.

ah nice. I'd like to add it to the sidebar navigation in labsconsole with a short label like "all projects".
It's already there or not?
Let's also ask for more "description" data in that output. (not excluding myself, also have none yet i see). But yeah, that is something new users are looking for when we tell them "checkout which projects already exists to join one before requesting new projects".
