Need Cite extention in edit tools on gu.wikipedia as it appears on en.wiki. Hope this is the one that is on edit tool, after HELP on the edit tool bar, which brings up the box to enter various fields for additing inline reference.

That's not the Cite extension. The Cite extension is the one that provides the <ref> tag. What you're talking about is built in local JS, either a gadget or a site script.
