At the moment lat/lon are strings at http://toolserver.org/~erfgoed/api/api.php?action=search&format=json

Interaction between php and Mysql seems to cause this. Should probably be an explicit cast.

Fixed by Joan Creus in r691. We now have correct output at http://toolserver.org/~erfgoed/api/api.php?action=search&format=json
