Description MZMcBride 2012-06-21 17:04:01 UTC
Currently when you look at the project buttons and project stickers at shop.wikimedia.org (specifically <http://shop.wikimedia.org/products/wikimedia-project-buttons> and <http://shop.wikimedia.org/products/wikimedia-project-stickers-pack-of-12>), the MediaWiki logo being used is not the actual MediaWiki logo. It's a poor vectorization that is not the official logo.

The project button and project stickers that Wikimedia sells should be of the actual logos, not random images found on Commons that resemble the logos.

These are fixed in the next editions of both the stickers and the buttons. The buttons are already printed (and were sold at Wikimania) and while some of the old ones still exist will eventually replace them. The stickers will be done in the next batch.
