Description Antoine "hashar" Musso (WMF) 2012-06-25 13:35:32 UTC
This bug is about migrating /trunk/tools/planet form subversion to git.

Subversion path is:

/trunk/tools/planet

We will want to retain history which would help figuring out who actually added an entry and for how long it has been here.

We might have to update some puppet class too.

Like I said on IRC, I don't see the point in doing this really. Really we should find some non-crappy planet software that lets us add new blogs without requiring config changes.

Highly suggest WONTFIX.

My reasoning is to fix a short term issue which is to have change reviewed in Gerrit instead of the old CodeReview. Will attract more review in my opinion.

It only requires to add a component to edit the config file.

- whether an administrative panel for Planet
- whether a script regenerating the config file from a MediaWiki page.

This is out of the scope of this bug, so I'm cloning this.

This was done by dzhan last week (or the week before?) We upgraded to some new planet and all the config's in puppet now.
