Requested name of the mailing list: openmeetings@lists.wikimedia.org === Reasoning/explanation of purpose (and community consensus, if applicable): A list for discussion of the OpenMeetings.org project, under consideration as a WMF sister project. Please see: http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Proposals_for_new_projects/OpenMeetings.org#Project_Assets === Initial list administrator's e-mail address: gschriss atAT gmail dotDOT com
Added importance + enhancement, assigning to myself. Do you want to use this list to discuss OpenMeetings.org *before* it may potentially be made a sister project?
There's no current list to speak of, so having a discussion list in place would be useful both to discuss the proposal proper and to field questions about the project in its entirely -- there are a number of people interested in staying up with the project beyond the WMF community. (Micro-)blogging helps but it's not a full-fledged discussion form. If the request is premature I'll re-open the bugzilla report as the proposal process progresses. If it's cool I'll list it as a project asset already owned by the WMF. Cheers, George
I've thought about it, I think the request is slightly premature, when SPCom has had a chance to input then feel free to re-open this bug request and I'll take another look. :-)
[Closing as RESOLVED WORKSFORME for the time being, to get rid of deprecated RESOLVED LATER.]
WONTFIX sounds like more appropriate here, as there are no plans to set this up as per current situation. This should be reconsidered once the current situation has changed and the need for this is clearer.
