Change from this > to that Western Frisian > West Frisian Northern Frisian > North Frisian Zeeuws > Zeelandic ksh is the ISO code for Kölsch, but the Ripuarian Wikipedia uses it as their prefix. Do ISO names in the CLDR database refer to languages in accordance with standards, or in accordance to what they represent on Wikipedia? Add missing: als Allemanic nds-nl Dutch Low Saxon pfl Palatinate German pdc Pennsylvania German stq Saterland Frisian als (wrong ISO code used by WP) Alemannic vls West Flemish
> Requests for change The CLDR extension simply uses the data http://cldr.unicode.org/ publishes. You should report change requests and requests for new locales through their documented processes: http://cldr.unicode.org/index/bug-reports. > Requests related to "als" Obviously, plain incorrect code usage will not be made working, as "als" is Tosk Albanian. Instead, please request renaming the "als" sub domain to "gsw" (might well be that this is already a long standing open issue). > Do ISO names in the CLDR database refer to languages in accordance > with standards, or in accordance to what they represent on Wikipedia? Unicode CLDR standards. Wikipedia standards are pretty rough around the edges. I'm inclined to close this issue as WONTFIX, but if the reporting is creating upstream tickets soon (let's say within a month), then I guess the issue can remain open.
iiketsi: Please report this under http://cldr.unicode.org/index/bug-reports as explained in the previous comment. This problem is nothing that could be fixed in code that is under the control of the CLDR extension maintainers.
Most of those have been added upstream, see https://translatewiki.net/wiki/Thread:Support/Language_names_not_in_Unicode_CLDR and please continue the discussion there.
